Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive Helps to Feed East End's Hungry This Holiday

Dedicated volunteers will deliver turkeys to families across the East End.

MONTAUK, NY — Some giving souls are coming together Saturday to deliver Thanksgiving cheer and warm food to the needy.

The Clamshell Foundation and Camp Soulgrow are hosting their 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive on Saturday.

This year's drive is dedicated in loving memory to Clamshell Foundation founder Rossetti Perchik, organizers said.

The event will kick off at the Amagansett IGA at 10 a.m. with the kids from Camp Soulgrow; 108 free turkeys will be distributed to those in need on the East End.

The Soulgrow bus will leave Camp Soulgrow at 9:30 a.m.

After all the deliveries are finished, the day of giving will be capped off with a special feast at the Montauk Fire Department, organizers said.
