Civic Group To Host 'Meet the Candidates' Event

MONTAUK, NY — A Montauk civic group has organized a Meet the Candidates forum, only a few weeks before the upcoming election on November 8.

The Concerned Citizens of Montauk is poised to present the 46th Annual Meet the Candidates Forum on Sunday, October 16, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Montauk School Gym, located at 50 S. Dorset Drive in Montauk.

Confirmed attendees include candidates for United States Congress, incumbent Lee Zeldin and challenger Anna Throne-Holst, New York State Senate contenders, incumbent Ken LaValle and candidate Gregory Fisher, and candidates for New York State Assembly, incumbent Fred Thiele and candidate Heather Collins.

All candidates present will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and then questions will be opened up to the audience.

CCOM’s Meet the Candidates forum is an established avenue for voters on the East End of Long Island to hear directly from candidates up for election in November and make informed choices about how they will cast their ballots, a release said.

The event is free and open to the public.
