Drunk Montauk Man Involved in Springs Crash: Police
The crash took place on Breeze Hill Road, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Montauk man was charged with driving drunk after a crash in Springs, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Christopher S. Verity, 23, was charged with driving while intoxicated, first offense, a misdemeanor, after a motor vehicle crash while driving a red 1990 GMC north on Breeze Hill Road near Will Curl Highway on August 19 at 11:46 p.m.
Upon investigation, police said Verity had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, bloodshot, glassy eyes, and slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet.
