Man Resisted Arrest, Kicked A Cop in Montauk: Police
The arrest took place on Sunday, police said.

MONTAUK, NY — An East Hampton man was cuffed after he resisted arrest and kicked a police officer in Montauk, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Frederic Jr. Stephens, 24, was arrested on Sunday at 3:45 a.m. on Montauk Highway in Montauk, resisting arrest while police tried to charge him with disorderly conduct, refusing to put his hands behind his back to be handcuffed and refusing to walk under his own power to the police car; officers had to carry him, police said. Once he was placed in the police car, he kicked the police officer in the left leg, police said.
He was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, police said.

In addition, Stephens was charged with second degree harassment, physical contact, a violation, for kicking the police officer, police said.
He was also charged with disorderly conduct, fight/violent behavior, a violation, for wrongfully provoking and threatening the police officer while clenching his fists "and taking a fighting stance" while acting belligerently, police said.
