Montauk Man Caught Speeding Drunk on Sunrise Highway With Drugs in Car: Police

MONTAUK, NY - A drunk Montauk man was busted Saturday after he was caught speeding on Sunrise Highway with drugs in the car, police said.

According to New York State Police, John P. Riordan, 36, was arrested on Sunrise Highway as he was heading west, just east of Exit 62 in Speonk.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, as well as speeding, police said.
