Montauk's 4th Of July Fireworks 2020 Canceled

Montauk's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday safely.

MONTAUK, NY – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events, including the beloved annual "Stars Over Montauk July 4 Fireworks by Grucci," scheduled for July 4.

"2020 Fireworks have been canceled," organizers said. "Please stay safe and celebrate the USA with your family."

But don't despair: A fireworks show is still taking place in Southampton on July 3.

Although Montauk's fireworks have been canceled, there are still plenty of things to do around Montauk in July, including the beach, biking, the annual Sand Castle Contest at Hither Hills,virtual programming at Guild Hall in East Hampton, Montauk's Farmers Market on the Green, camping at Suffolk County sites, the Montauk Historical Society Craft Fair 2020and free Monday night Concerts on the Green in Montauk.
