Photos: Montauk Fire Department Conducts Emergency Drill
A new emergency dispatching app was also used during the drill recently.
MONTAUK, NY — The Montauk Fire Department continued its regular series of emergency drills Wednesday, this time joining East Hampton Town's volunteer ocean rescue and marine patrol and East Hampton Village's mobile command unit.
Three drowning "victims" were successfully rescued at North Bar at Montauk Lighthouse.
Supervising the drill were Montauk Fire Department Chief Vincent Franzone, MFD First Assistant Chief David Ryan, MFD Second Assistant Chief Mickey Valcich, Ed Michels, chief of the East Hampton Town marine patrol, and Theodore "T.J." Calabrese, Chief of the East Hampton volunteer ocean rescue.

The East Hampton Village mobile command unit took the opportunity to fine tune its new emergency dispatching app during the exercise.
