Photos: Senior Citizens Enjoy a Day of Holiday Cheer at Montauk Firehouse
The day included a visit from Santa and a delicious holiday meal.
MONTAUK, NY — Seniors enjoyed a festive day of holiday spirit in Montauk Sunday as they were served a delicious meal and even got to meet the jolly guy in the red suit.
On Sunday afternoon, members of the Montauk Fire Department, the Montauk Point Lions Club, Montauk Boy Scout Troop 136, and other volunteers honored Montauk's senior citizens at a 37th Annual Holiday Dinner.
Guests were treated to a full course holiday meal, enjoyed a visit from Santa Claus, and were blessed in prayers by both Montauk pastors William Hoffmann and Thomas Murray.

Seniors who were unable to get to the firehouse, had their meals home-delivered.
Montauk Fire Department Chief Joe Lenahan chose the dinner to officially announce his retirement, and to thank everyone for their three years of support.
