• Man dies after New York state troopers respond to a disturbance at Super 8 motel (cbs6albany.com) — A man died after New York State Police responded to a late-night disturbance at the Super 8 Motel on Montgomery Road in the town of Montgomery. Troopers say the 36-year-old became unresponsive after being taken into custody and later died at Garnet Health Medical Center, with state investigators and the Attorney General's Office now reviewing what happened.
• The Hudson Valley's 'Best' Pizzeria Wants Review From Dave Portnoy (wpdh.com) — Montgomery's own Cascarino's Pizzeria & Ristorante, a five-time winner of WPDH's "Battle of the Best," is calling on Barstool's Dave Portnoy to review their pies after he visited several Dutchess County spots. The owners say Portnoy was just 30 minutes away and hope fans can help lure his One Bite Pizza Reviews tour back to the Hudson Valley.
• Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties Brings Veterans Together for a Salute to Service (focusmediausa.com) — In Montgomery, Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties recently hosted a Veterans Brunch at Stony Ford Golf Course, bringing local veterans together to share stories and learn about support. Speakers highlighted challenges with benefits, the importance of camaraderie, and Hospice's Vet-to-Vet volunteer program, which pairs veteran volunteers with patients and invites more local veterans to get involved.
