City officials and Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard blame a multimillion-dollar gas debt and unpaid water judgment, and are pressing the owners and state authorities while exploring legal options to restore and protect essential services.
   

• Three Arrested Following Traffic Stop in Mount Vernon; Cocaine, Fraudulent Documents, and U.S. Treasury Check Seized (yonkerstimes.com) — State Police say a traffic stop near Sanford Boulevard and South 3rd Avenue in Mount Vernon led to the seizure of cocaine, fraudulent IDs, and a large U.S. Treasury check. Three men, including one Mount Vernon resident, now face multiple felony drug and forgery charges and are being held for arraignment in Mount Vernon City Court.
