2 Busted In Rockland Over 60 Pounds Of Canadian Pot: Cops

The shipment was destined for three different locations in the county, police allege.

NANUET, NY — Police nabbed two Nanuet residents Thursday who are accused of masterminding a large shipment of hydroponically-grown marijuana from Canada. It was en route to three locations in Rockland County NY, police said. It was intercepted through US Customs, and the subsequent joint operation included federal, county and local law enforcement.

The Rockland County Intelligence Center and Rockland County Sheriff's Office working in conjunction with the Department Homeland Security arrested the two for criminal possession of marijuana 1st degree, a C-Felony. RCIC along with Homeland Security, Ramapo Police, South Nyack/Grandview PD, Piermont PD, Suffern PD, and the NJ Palisades Interstate Parkway Police assisted in arresting Meifeng Pan-Zheng, 39, of 86 Prospect Street, Nanuet, at her home, where Pan Fei, 45, also lived. He was also arrested.

One package was mailed to a location in Ramapo and another in Nanuet, police said.

Both were charged with criminal possession of marijuana 1st degree. Fei Pan was additionally charged with two counts of criminal possession of marijuana 1st.

Both were arraigned and released from the Rockland County Jail after posting $10,000 dollars bail. Both were given return court dates in Clarkstown and Ramapo Justice Courts.

The marijuana seized was over 60 lbs and valued at about $300,000. Also seized in the raid was about $10,000 in US and Canadian currency, police said.
