$3,600 Worth Of Cardboard Meant For Recycling Stolen From Nanuet Store

9 pallets of material taken from Lowe's.

Nine pallets of cardboard slated to be recycled, valued at $3,600, were stolen from the Lowe's store in Nanuet, according to Clarkstown police.

A store worker told police that several men with a box truck pulled up to a storage area at Lowe's and took off with the cardboard at about 12:55 a.m. on Sunday. The cardboard is stored on pallets until it can be shipped for recycling.

Police said this is one of several in which materials including paper and copper building materials have been stolen. Last October, three men were charged with stealing meant for recycling at the nearby Costco store in Nanuet.
