3 Cars Damaged As Nanuet Car Break-Ins Continue

Windows smashed, iPod taken.

A rash of car break-ins in Nanuet continued on Monday night with three more vehicles damaged, according to Clarkstown police.

Windows were smashed on three cars and an Apple iPod was taken from one of the cars, which were parked in the lot of the Chili's restaurant, 255 E. Route 59, Nanuet.

The break-ins took place around 9 to 10 p.m.

Since November, Nanuet has been plagued by a series of car break-ins in local parking lots. Clarkstown police continue to urge the public not leave valuables — including personal electronics and GPS navigation units — in plain sight in their vehicles.
