3 Stores Sold Vape Products To A Minor: Clarkstown Police
Clarkstown police conducted a compliance check of 10 local stores that sell vape products.
Clarkstown police conducted compliance checks in June based on the state's minimum age law for the sale of vape (e-cigarette) projects.
The checks were conducted using underage, undercover agents working alongside members of the Clarkstown Police Department and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
"The Clarkstown Police Department is aware of the dramatic increase in the usage of vape devices amongst our youth," a spokesman said. "We will continue to enforce all applicable laws regarding this matter and all matters to protect the children in this community."

Ten businesses in the Town of Clarkstown were checked during this operation. Seven were found to be in compliance including: Comfort Mart Nanuet, Gulf Mart Nanuet, Rose’s Deli, 7-Eleven Nanuet, Good Guy Vapes, DinoMart New City and A Plus New City.
Three businesses sold a vape product to the underage agent including Cloud 99 Vapes, West Clarkstown Mini Mart New City and Mint Vape Kiosk Palisades Center Mall.

Employees of these businesses were arrested and charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2nd Degree, a class B misdemeanor.
The department conducts monthly compliance checks of alcohol and tobacco retailers. Subsequent educational classes are provided to retailers regarding the safe and lawful sale of these products. The goal is to decrease the opportunity of alcohol or tobacco reaching the community's youth.
