7 People to Hospital for Carbon Monoxide Poisoning: Clarkstown Police
Clarkstown police, New City Ambulance Corps, Rockland paramedics and the Spring Valley Fire Department responded to a Nanuet home.

Clarkstown police received a call at 10:10 a.m. Nov. 3 about a possible carbon monoxide leak at 9 Louise Place in Nanuet.
The officer who responded was informed by the homeowner that his sister had been removed from the residence at 5:45 AM for a medical emergency; she had been discharged from the hospital and returned home; but, after being back for a short time she complained that she was still feeling ill.
Some other members of the family also felt light-headed.

Spring Valley FD responded and found a high level of carbon monoxide in the home. All 6 members of the family were removed by the New City Ambulance Corps and Rockland Paramedics to Westchester Medical Center for treatment:
- a 32-year-old man
- three boys aged 9, 6 and 2
- two women, aged 64 and 28
A seventh member of the family had left the home earlier to go to work for the day. She was notified by family of the situation that she was exposed to the gas and needed medical attention. She was transported to a hospital by another jurisdiction. There is no information available for her.
