79 Winning NY Powerball Ticket Locations Announced
3 of the 3rd-place winning tickets, worth $50,000 each, were sold locally. Another 2 million tickets sold in the state won from $4 to $100.

New York wasn’t among the luckiest states in Wednesday night’s historic $1.6 billion jackpot Powerball drawing: that honor goes to California, Florida and Tennessee, where jackpot-winning tickets were sold.
However, 79 people who bought tickets in New York won prizes ranging from $50,000 to $1 million, the New York Lottery announced Thursday, according to syracuse.com.
Five second-place winning tickets — worth $1 million each for matching 5 of 6 numbers (4, 8, 19, 27, 34) and just missing the Powerball number (10) — were sold in New York, among the 73 sold nationwide. They were sold at:

Also, two $100,000 winning tickets were sold
According to syracuse.com, the third-place prizes are worth $50,000 but two players won $100,000 by using the Power Play to multiple their winnings. Power Play costs an extra dollar at the time of purchase and allows players to multiply their winnings up to five times. The multiplier for Wednesday’s drawing was 2, turning a $50,000 prize into a $100,000 prize.
The $100,000 winning tickets were sold at these retail locations:
- Stewart’s Shops #378, 9615 Route 9 in Chazy

In addition a lot of people won small prizes:
