• Assembly Speaker delivers $2.8 million to Rockland ambulance corps (midhudsonnews.com subscription) — Nanuet's volunteer ambulance corps is getting $190,000 as part of a $2.8 million state funding package Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie announced in Rockland County. Working with Assemblyman Patrick Carroll of Nanuet, the grants will replace damaged equipment and support ambulance and fire services in Thiells, Nyack, Congers, New City, Haverstraw, and Nanuet, aiming to ease recruitment and funding challenges for local EMS volunteers.
   

• Pearl River football overwhelms Nanuet in Little Brown Jug game (lohud.com) — Nanuet's football team took a tough 42-0 loss at rival Pearl River in their annual Little Brown Jug matchup, struggling with both big plays and costly mistakes. Senior back Tommy Mahoney powered Pearl River, while Nanuet now looks to regroup for next week's road game at Panas as the season continues.
