• 22-year-old accused of threatening Nanuet bank teller with gun before fleeing on foot (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Chase Bank in Nanuet was allegedly robbed Saturday morning by a 22-year-old local man who told a teller he had a gun and fled on foot. Clarkstown police say they tracked down a suspect nearby within 20 minutes, arrested him on robbery and related charges, and had him jailed on bail while the case proceeds.
• Clarkstown pauses large developments and AI data centers for six months (news12.com) — A new six‑month development pause in Clarkstown will not apply to projects in the Nanuet Hamlet Center, but it will temporarily halt larger multifamily, subdivision, and AI data‑center proposals elsewhere. Town officials say the moratorium lets them study traffic, infrastructure, environmental, and safety impacts before allowing more big projects to move forward.
• These Hudson Valley School Bus Times May Surprise You, Impact Commute (hudsonvalleypost.com) — Drivers in and around Nanuet should know local school buses may be on the road as early as 7:20 a.m., when Nanuet High School starts, and again around 2 p.m. dismissal. A regional comparison of Hudson Valley bell schedules shows Nanuet's high and middle schools start much earlier than some neighboring districts, meaning residents need extra caution during a wide window of morning and afternoon traffic.
