The Animal Rights Alliance, Inc. (T.A.R.A.) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that was founded to help homeless and abandoned animals. Presently, TARA has spayed and neutered over 55,000 cats. TARA's mobile low cost spay/neuter clinic for cats operates in Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess and Rockland Counties. TARA will be in Rockland County at Hi-Tor Animal Care Center on Thursday, March 8th. The cost to others is $70 per cat which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, ear cleaning and nail trimming. TARA also offers distemper vaccines, flea treatment and dewormers for an additional fee.
