Aney Paul, Nanuet Lions’ Club Set Youth Leadership Workshop

The free program is open to all Rockland County students.

NANUET, NY — Rockland County Legislator Aney Paul, in partnership with the Nanuet Lions’ Club, is sponsoring a Youth Leadership Workshop on July 27.

“Helping our youth to obtain leadership skills is an important part of their education because in the very near future, they will be the ones leading our society and determining solutions to the issues we are likely to confront,” Paul said in an announcement about the program. “The issues will range from local to global, from how we will provide proper care to senior citizens to how we will address the impacts of climate change.”

Additionally, Paul said, providing leadership skills to youth helps to empower them to take charge of their own lives because they are being educated about the need to make smart choices, as well as how to identify the options as they determine their best choices.
