Apartment Wall Collapses In Nanuet
The Nanuet Fire Department is working with the Clarkstown Fire Inspectors and the Building Inspector on an investigation of the structure.

NANUET, NY — A brick facade came loose at a Nanuet apartment complex Thursday, cascading bricks onto a lower roof and penetrating the wall of another apartment. Clarkstown police were called to the scene at 12:45 p.m.
Arriving at 80 N.Middletown Road, the officers deemed that the façade of an exterior wall had come loose from its foundation. The façade penetrated the exterior wall of another apartment of the complex.

There were no injuries to any of the residents.

The cause of this collapse is believed to be the snow, ice and wind. The Nanuet Fire Department is working with the Clarkstown Fire Inspectors and the Building Inspector to examine the structure.
One of the apartments has been determined to be inhabitable, police said. The resident has been placed in a hotel until repairs can be made.
