Are You Eating A Healthy Breakfast?
March is National Nutrition Month and the Rockland County Department of Health is encouraging residents to make sure that they and their children eat a healthy breakfast each and every day.

Do you eat a healthy breakfast? If you don’t you should. This is precisely the message that the Rockland County Department of Health has been spreading this March, which just happens to be National Nutrition Month.
Eating a health breakfast is crucial to maintaining balance in one’s health and being alert and active in one’s life. This is especially true when it comes to children.

“A good breakfast is a great start to success in the classroom. Choose vegetables, fruit and low-fat dairy to help reduce the fat and cholesterol in your family’s diet. These foods naturally provide vitamins, minerals, fiber and energy,” said Rockland County Commissioner of Health Dr. Joan Facelle.
So, don’t skimp on breakfast, especially when it comes to your children. Make it fun and notorious. If you’re looking for ideas, the Rockland County Department of Health is more than happy to help.
