Video Shows Man Who Robbed Nanuet Bank

Clarkstown police seek armed man who may have hit the same Palisades Federal Credit Union Branch twice in less than a year.

continue to ask the public for assistance in the hunt for a man who — and may be the same person who robbed that same bank in 2011.

Clarkstown detectives released images taken from security cameras at the branch on Route 59 in the Kohl's shopping center, showing the man entering the bank and then going to a counter to grab cash. At least $30,000 was taken in the robbery, according to police.

Detectives say the man — and the way he operates — is very similar to the robber who hit the credit union on April 20, 2001. Both times, the robberies took place around 9:30 a.m. The thief fled through a back door of the bank.
