Building Begins for New Highview Playground [VIDEO]

It's finally here. After many months of planning and fundraising, the build for the Highview Community Playground starts today 8 a.m. and will go until 8 p.m. Come by anytime you have a spare moment to help out between that time frame. There will be lunch provided for volunteers and day care for your (potty-trained) children across the street.

Don't have time today? The build will be going on from Oct. 5, Wednesday, through to Oct. 9, Sunday. Come out and volunteer anytime between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. from Wednesday to Saturday and from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Not a carpenter? That's ok. There are duties for people of all ages and skill sets. Here are some of the other tasks that you can help with:

• Food serving and prepping
• Day care help
• Cleaning
• Set up
