Calling All Brides-to-Be

So you just got engaged and have no idea where to start. Head over to the Regency Ballroom at the Comfort Inn of Nanuet this Sunday at 1 p.m. for the Bridal and Event Expo hosted by The Wedding and Event Professionals of Rockland County.

If you pre-register, you will get a gift upon attending.

When you first get to the event, you will need to register, if you haven't already. Then you will receive the itinerary for the afternoon. Inside the ballroom, there will be tables set up with many different vendors, such at photographers, florists and tuxedo companies.

Most of the booths will have different giveaways and promotions, so bring labels with your name, address and phone number if you want to save on writing.

There will be music by either a DJ company, a live band, or both. And if you haven't already selected your wedding attire, there will be a fashion show consisting of bridal gowns, bridesmaid gowns, mother of the bride/groom gowns and tuxedos.

One lucky couple will get the opportunity to play Deal or No Deal, where the prizes will range from one penny to a $100 vendor credit to a week long vacation.

So don't forget to get out and brave the rain on Sunday for a chance to win great prizes. (Plus, there's always food and cake at these things.)
