Turkeys For Our Troops
- When/Where: Friday, November 11, 12:30 - 3:30 pm/JCC of Rockland, 450 W Nyack Rd, West Nyack
- Why Go: It’s Veterans’ Day and a chance for teens to help veterans. Do you want to cheer up our war veterans who will not make it home for Thanksgiving this year? Join us as we make Thanksgiving Chocolate Turkeys for war veterans at the VA Hospital. We’ll melt some chocolate and create edible turkey lollipops, a wall collage, and Happy Thanksgiving Day cards. Get creative and make new friends in the process!

Blue Rock School: Introductory Session & Campus Tour
- When/Where: Saturday, November 12, 10 a.m./ Blue Rock School, 110 Demarest Mill Rd, West Nyack

- Why go: The 6th Annual Dog Tag Art Exhibition is an art show exclusively featuring works by Rockland Vets, sponsored by The Arts Council of Rockland (ACOR), in conjunction with the Rockland County Veterans Office. The opening reception will be held in the auditorium of the Spring Valley extension of Rockland Community College on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 2-4 p.m.

Make n’ Mold Candy Making Demonstrations
- When/Where: Sunday, Nov. 13; 1-3 p.m. at A. C. Moore in Nanuet
- Why Go: Get into the holiday spirit. Your kids probably have a sweet tooth, and maybe you do too. Come out for a fun demonstration on how to make Mint Marshmallow Pops

Rockland Music Conservatory Open House
- When/Where: 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Rockland Music Conservatory’s new location, 45 S. Main St. in Pearl River
- Why go: Visitors can check out the inside of the Conservatory’s new home. There will be an “Instrument Petting Zoo” for kids to touch, hold and play instruments and see demonstrations by teachers and musicians.
