Christmas 2021: What's Open, Closed In Nanuet

NANUET, NY — The federal holiday for Christmas is actually Friday, Dec. 24 — Christmas Eve — because Christmas Day is on Saturday in 2021.

So what's open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Clarkstown? Many stores will not be open and many services will not be available, so you'll need to factor that into your plans for the holiday.

Saturday - Christmas Day:

• TOR buses will operate Sunday service on routes 59, 91, 92, 93, and Loop 3; with no service on routes 94, 95, 97, Loop 1 and Loop 2.
• TRIPS paratransit buses will operate ADA-only service.
• Coach USA Rockland Coaches buses will not operate on Christmas Day.
• Coach USA Shortline will operate weekend service.
• Coach USA (Exit 14) Express will not operate.

For Saturday, Dec. 25, Metro-North will operate on a special schedule with hourly service on all lines and regular weekend service on branch lines.
