Dear Friends,
In 1990, three friends had an idea to give back to the city streets that they were raised in. In December of 1990 a total of 5 people walked into the NY Foundling Hospital Teen Mother program in the South Bronx with 15 happy meals and gifts for the 15 children.
The ritual continued and grew every year for the next 23 years. Twelve other helpers joined the same three friends and through your continued support we contribute toys to 5 NY Foundling Hospital Organizations as well as HELP Crotona Homeless Shelter, The Ronald McDonald House, Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club and Oasis a Haven for Women and Children in NJ.

Last year we exceeded 2000 toys and were able to take care of children who are living in very challenging conditions. This effort is strictly a grassroots endeavor with no corporate sponsorships. This can only continue and grow by your contributions. Below are the organization websites:

While doing your own shopping, if you can keep these special children in your thoughts it will once again brighten the season for a child who deals with hardship all year round.
We are once again requesting an UNWRAPPED GIFT for a boy or girl from age’s infant to 12. The unwrapped gift allows Santa to match the gift with the appropriate child. Our visits will take place on December 15, 16, and 17.
Monetary donations will be accepted so that one of our staff members can do a group shopping. Monetary contributions can be made out to:

Please give the check to a committee member. New York Foundling will purchase Toys R Us gift cards for our special elves to shop with.
This venture has become a tradition to us and we thank you for our many years of participation. May God Bless you and your family this season and always.
