Clarkstown Increases Police Checks around Nanuet
Local response to the bomb incidents in New York and New Jersey

NANUET, NY — The Clarkstown Police Department has been monitoring the bombing incidents that occurred in New Jersey and New York City as well as the knife attack in Minnesota over the weekend.
"We have been working with state and federal authorities to ensure that any actionable intelligence that reveals a threat to the Clarkstown area will be responded to immediately," police said in their announcement Sunday. "As of today we have no threat to the community. We have directed our patrols to increase checks of shopping malls, houses of worship and any community events."
