Clarkstown Police Investigating Early-Morning Armed Robbery

Victim reports being approached by two men with guns.

The quiet of a New Year's Day morning was shattered in the Nanuet/Spring Valley section of Clarkstown with an armed robbery that took place about 6:40 a.m., according to town police.

The robbery victim told police that two men, each armed with a silver handgun, were involved in the incident on Albacon Road, just off Forestbrook Road — west of North Pascack Road.

Police said no shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident. Detectives are meeting with the victim and town officers are still in the Albacon Road area this morning investigating the incident.

Police ask that anyone with information about the robbery call them at 845-659-5800.

As for New Year's Eve, Clarkstown police said the night was fairly quiet around town. One person was arrested on drunken driving charges; additional information about the arrest was not yet available.
