County Legislature: Violinist & Goodbye Cards (VIDEO)

Johann Sebastian Bach flowed from the legislative room.

Avi Nagin from Pomona came to Monday night's legislative meeting for a special performance. The violinist played Back's Sonata in G Minor: 1st Movement (adagio). He currently attends the Colburn School in LA.

The performance began the meeting and the meeting ended with goodbyes exchanged and large signed photo cards for the four legislators leaving this year:

• District 14's Bob Jackson is leaving and is taking over
• District 9's Gerold Bierker is leaving and is taking over
• District 17's Connie Coker is leaving and is taking over
• District 13's Jacques O. D'I Michel is leaving and Aron B. Wieder is taking over

District 10 Legislator and Chairwoman of the Rockland County Legislature Harriet Cornell came up with the idea of four jumbo cards for those leaving. On each card is the formal photo found on the County Legislature's website with space around the picture for legislators to write a personal message.
