County To Discuss Nanuet's Samuel Road Closure
Clarkstown officials will be attending the Rockland County Legislature's Public Safety Committee meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers in New City

Earlier this month, the the Rockland County Legislature against Clarkstown for closing Samuel Road in Nanuet without proper approval from the county's superintendent of highways.
In response to this, by several Clarkstown officials speaking out against the county's actions and recently, Clarkstown PBA President John M. Hanchar about the legislature's resolution in which blame was placed on police officers for "unlawful actions of some motorists."

On Tuesday, the county legislature's Public Safety Committee will meet to discuss the samuel road closure. The meeting is on Aug. 28 at 5 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers at 11 New Hempstead Road in New City.
Clarkstown Supervisor Alex Gromack and Police Chief Michael Sullivan will be attending this meeting to discuss the Town's action to revert Samuel Road in Nanuet back to its dead end status.
