Dry, Then Approaching Storm: Nanuet's Work Week Weather

NANUET, NY — Enjoy the dry and relatively mild temperatures for the first half of the work week, because wet weather will return beginning Thursday. For most of the region, the nor’easter will be a rain event. However, in the mid-Hudson Valley there could be some snow, which will turn to rain and then back into snow.

Flooding might also be a problem, since we are coming off of a particularly wet February.

And let’s throw a full moon on March 1 into the mix, shall we?

“The combination of the proximity of the full moon and strong onshore flow will lead to coastal flooding at times of high tide,” said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski.

• Tonight-Clear. Lows around 30. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
• Tuesday-Sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. West winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the afternoon.
• Tuesday Night-Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 30s. West winds around 5 mph.
• Wednesday-Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
• Wednesday Night-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of rain in the evening. Lows around 40. West winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Thursday-Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Highs in the lower 50s.
• Thursday Night-Rain. Lows in the upper 30s. Chance of rain 90 percent.
• Friday-Rain. Highs in the lower 40s. Chance of rain 80 percent.
• Friday Night-Mostly cloudy. Lows in the mid 30s.
