Off-Duty Spring Valley Cop Faces Drug, Driving Charges

State police said they received numerous calls about an erratic driver on Route 17 on Sunday.

NANUET, NY — Marc Miller, a resident of Nanuet and a police officer in Spring Valley, faces drug and driving charges connected to Leandra's Law. State police said he was stopped in Orange County for erratic driving.

State police said they received numerous calls about an erratic driver on Route 17 on April 16. They said they interviewed Miller at a gas station in Chester. There was a child under 15 in the vehicle. He appeared to be disoriented and impaired, police said. They searched the vehicle, and allege that they found cocaine.

Miller, 46, was processed at State Police offices in Monroe.

He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated - with a Child. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Chester town court April 27, police said.
