Elderly Couple Rescued from Nanuet House Fire
Clarkstown police, Nanuet, Spring Valley and Pearl River fire departments, paramedics and Nanuet Volunteer Ambulance responded.
NANUET, NY - An elderly couple was driven from their home just after midnight, according to police and news reports.
Clarkstown police responding to 911 calls said they saw the fire spreading to the house from a second-floor deck that was engulfed in flames. The two residents were removed from the home without any injuries.
However, the house might be a total loss, police told The Journal News.

The Nanuet, Spring Valley and Pearl River fire departments responded, police said. Paramedics and Nanuet Volunteer Ambulance were on scene to provide medical assistance if needed.
The fire does not appear to be suspicious and the investigation is being conducted by the Clarkstown Detective Bureau and the Clarkstown Fire Inspector.
