All are invited to join Congregation Sons of Israel, Nyack,  when Cantor Ramon Tasat spends Shabbat at CSI, Nov. 18 and 19, 2011, as the Cantor-in-Residence.  Argentine-born Cantor Tasat is an immensely gifted chazan and  President of Shalshelet: The Foundation for New Jewish Liturgical Music. He will join us on Friday night, Nov. 18, and all day Saturday, Nov. 19. We have planned two incredible days of tefillah, music, education and inspiration.  Cantor Tasat will lead Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma'ariv services Friday night, Shabbat morning services, and lead us in a Seudah Shlishit (third meal) on Shabbat afternoon.  During and after the meal Cantor Tasat will perform a range of Jewish and Israeli music. Cantor Tasat has toured, performed and lectured throughout Europe and the US.
