Rockland Road Runners' Women's 5K Distance Festival to Benefit Rockland Family Shelter set for July 14, 2012

The Rockland Road Runners will host its 25th Annual Women's Distance Festival at Rockland Lake State Park. This annual run is the sole "women's only" event of its kind in Rockland County.  The run/walk is held on a 3.1 mile course and begins at 8:00am ( registration is at 6:30am.)  A free Children's Fun Run for boys and girls 11 and under will open up the festivities at 7:30am. The race fee, for those who register before July 10th, is $18 for Rockland Road Runners and $20 for non-members.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the Rockland Family Shelter, a local non-profit agency dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault.
