Explore Summer Safety at The Shops at Nanuet

Festival will present multitude of resources from Nyack Hospital and more

Warmer temperatures translates to outdoor fun and in an effort to show families how to safely get the most out of the season, The Shops at Nanuet will host its first ever Summer Safety Festival, on Saturday, June 13 from 12 to 4 p.m.

Sponsored by Nyack Hospital, in association with The Journal News, the event will feature valuable information from Nyack Hospital’s Safety and Emergency Department, emphasizing the importance of bicycle helmets, no texting while driving and general safety tips. In addition, visitors can obtain insight from Nyack Hospital’s Breast and Women’s Health and Behavioral Health departments. Children ages two through 10 years old can come to a special Teddy Bear Hospital (limited to the first 400 kids) and receive a free teddy bear to take home, while supplies last.

Attendees can also interact directly with Clarkstown Police Department, Nanuet Fire Department and Nanuet Community Ambulance Corps, which will all be on-site. Select retailers at The Shops at Nanuet will feature specials offerings during the event as well.
