Felony Charges In Monday's Route 59 Crash

The man who rammed into two stopped cars didn't have a valid driver's license, and that's just the beginning.

NANUET, NY — A Bronx man who police say was driving drunk without a valid driver's license has been charged with several felonies connected to the three-car crash that snarled Route 59 Monday and injured four. Clarkstown police said two cars were stopped in the right lane due to a minor fender bender when Rohan Brijlall plowed into them in his SUV.

Based on an investigation conducted by the Clarkstown Detective Bureau, the 41-year-old Bronx man was arrested for numerous felonies. (Sign up to get more crime news, Nanuet Patch news alerts and our free daily newsletter.)
