Felony DWI Charge for Woman Who Would Not Stop: Police
This arrest was in Orangeburg; the previous conviction was in Clarkstown.
Susan C. Juskiw, 56, of Valley Cottage faces charges of felony aggregated driving while intoxicated.
Orangetown police officers reported they saw her driving east on Orangeburg Road—she was moving from lane to lane and her Toyota Camry had defective brake lights.
The officers tried to stop her at Dutch Hill Road but she would not stop. Finally she pulled into the parking lot of the Orangeburg Holiday Inn, police said.
She was taken to Orangeburg Police Headquarters, where a breath analysis showed a BAC higher than .18 percent.
The charge against her is a felony because she has a prior DWI conviction from 2007 in Clarkstown, police said.
She was arraigned in Orangetown Court before Judge Richard Finning and sent to Rockland County Jail on $2,500 bail.
