Felony DWI for Orangeburg Man in Nanuet

He was stopped for speeding.

On Sunday May 1, 2016 at 2:50 AM, the Clarkstown Police Department arrested a 27-year-old man for DWI in Nanuet.

A patrol officer stopped the vehicle at Route 59 and Old Nyack Turnpike for a traffic infraction. The driver, Jose Noguera-Gomez, 27, of Orangeburg was interviewed and appeared to be intoxicated.

He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he failed a breathalyzer test.

Noguera-Gomez had a prior DWI conviction. He was charged with driving while intoxicated (felony) and unreasonable speed (violation). He was arraigned at Clarkstown Justice Court and was released on his own recognizance. He will return to court on May 4.
