Free Flu Clinic Thursday In Nanuet

An emergency flu clinic will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Nanuet Library.

NANUET, NY — Free flu shots will be available Thursday in Rockland County for people seeking the vaccine. The emergency flu clinic will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Nanuet Library. It is sponsored by Good Samaritan Hospital and local politicians.

The Nanuet Library is at 149 Church St, Nanuet, NY 10954.

Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester), Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee (D-Suffern), and Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski (D-New City), also sponsored a clinic Tuesday with Nyack Hospital.

They said they were responding to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's declaration of a Public Health Emergency for all of New York State, noting that increased access and convenience for those seeking the flu vaccine is critical as the number of reported cases continues to rise. The number of confirmed influenza cases reported to the state and the number of New Yorkers hospitalized with confirmed influenza are the highest numbers since reporting began in 2004.
