From Kids to Adults: Local Artwork on Display at Nanuet Library

The exhibit is upstairs in the community room

Art is timeless and instilling that lesson of appreciation is always important. Luckily, local kids, teens and adults get a first-hand experience with exhibiting their hard work at the 34th annual art show.

“The art work at the library speaks for itself through the amazing talent of our students,” said Charlene Margiotta, of Art& Design. “They work hard to achieve their fabulous works of art.”

Artwork from the Art & Design Studio of Rockland has been teaching art to children, teens and adults since 1976.

"It's really awesome," said Ciara Hoehmann, adding that she was proud to be included in the art gallery.

This annual art show has been calling the Nanuet library home for about 15 years now. Just go upstairs to the community room to check out the local art.

“It is a great honor to work with these children year after year and see them grow both physically and artistically,” said Margiotta. “Many of our students have been attending our classes most of their young lives. I was very proud to see the amazing turn out of dedicated parents and family members who have come to celebrate their children’s artistic achievements. That was really wonderful.”

"It's a great thing for Nanuet," said George Hoehmann, whose daughter has a painting in the gallery. "It's a good day for everyone involved. Hundreds of people will stop by to appreciate the artwork."

The art exhibit is going on throughout the months of March and April. Double check with the as there are sometimes scheduled meetings in the Community room before going.

“We especially want thank Kristen Ward for offering the room at the library for our annual exhibit,” said Margiotta. “It is a really nice room and they are generous to share it with us.”
