Game On! Nanuet Lions Seek Celebrity Players for Charity Hoops Event

Club calls upon politicians, educators, business owners sign up for game against Harlem Ambassadors.

The Nanuet Lions Club is asking local celebrities to get their game on for charity.

The club wants local politicians, educators and business owners to form a local basketball team for a fun-filled game against the Harlem Ambassadors.

The fundraising game is set for March 29, 2011, and ticket sales will benefit Lions Club's charities, such as the Association for the Visually Impaired, JDRF, American Cancer Soceity, Girl Scouts/Boy Scouts, RCADD, Visions Camp for the Blind, Guding Eyes, American Kidney Fund and Disaster Relief for Haiti and Chili.

The club is also looking for sponsors for the players and event. Those in the community interested in joining the team or donating time or money can club president Barbara Chuck at 845-536-0928.
