Halo and Horns Food Featured At Union Arts Center Open Mic

Who can beat great culinary choices with live music? Halo & Horns Kitchen is partnering with Union Arts Center in Sparkill, New York to bring a creative angel-and-devil-like culinary experience to the community space’s Music Mondays this summer.

Halo & Horns Kitchen, a Rockland-based catering service for New Jersey and New York City, is starting their residence with the Union Arts Center at their "Music Mondays" series this July with a pop-up café and wine bar.

Chefs Angela Rivera and Anthony Accomando of the Kitchen will serve a fresh, unique combination of healthy and comfort food, playing on the Halo & Horns theme.Their menu will rotate week by week, sticking to the “naughty and nice” mantra with gluten-free vegan dishes and hearty carnivorous creations.

Past menus have included black bean burgers with chipotle aioli and sliced avocado from Rivera, opposite Accomando’s oyster dish of fresh chucked blue point oysters baked with double smoked bacon, leeks, and white wine cream, topped with a touch of panko bread crumbs.

The duo will feature interesting craft beers, boutique wines, and specialty wine cocktails for enjoyment listening to performers.

Union Arts Center’s intimate, casual Music Mondays will feature top notch local music. July 25th is an exciting open mic event hosted by singer-songwriter Dan Lopez. The next Monday, August 1st, will feature singer-songwriter Rob McMahon. Doors open at 6PM.

HALO & HORNS is the result of National Gourmet Institute alumna Angela Rivera and acclaimed chef, and French Culinary graduate Anthony Accomando.
