Hazardous Weather, Air Advisory Join Heat Advisory in Nanuet's Work Week Forecast

Extreme heat and humidity starts the week in Nanuet, which ends with thunderstorm threats starting Thursday.

It’s going to be extremely hot and humid Monday in the Hudson Valley. Besides its Heat Advisory, the National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook calling for scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms across the region late this afternoon into the evening. Also, there's an Air Quality Alert.

The storms could be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts being the main threat. In Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties, the humidity Monday will make the highs in the lower 90s feel more like 100 degrees, the NWS said.

So if you work outdoors, take frequent breaks and go into air conditioned places.
