Heat, Followed By Rain: Nanuet's Work Week Weather

NANUET, NY — Don’t get too used to the heat and humidity we will be experiencing Tuesday. Temps will cool down a bit as we get further into this shortened work week.

The guys at Hudson Valley Weather said humidity levels will rise on Tuesday making the mid- and upper 80s feel even hotter.

And the heat and humidity will add a little instability to the atmosphere making it possible for a pop-up afternoon thunderstorm in parts of the region.

“Then as we push into Thursday and Friday, the instability rises once again, and scattered showers are possible,” Hudson Valley Weather said, “possibly even a rumble of thunder.”

• Today-Mostly sunny. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Warmer with highs in the upper 80s. Northwest winds around 5 mph, becoming northeast around 5 mph this afternoon. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Tonight-Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows in the lower 60s. East winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
• Wednesday-Patchy fog in the morning. Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
• Wednesday Night-Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of rain. Lows in the mid 50s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
• Thursday-Cloudy. A slight chance of rain in the morning, then a chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s. Southeast winds around 5 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
• Thursday Night-Cloudy with a 40 percent chance of rain. Lows in the lower 60s.
• Friday-Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 70s. Chance of rain 50 percent.
• Friday Night-A chance of thunderstorms in the evening. Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Lows in the mid 60s. Chance of rain 40 percent.
