How low can the Specht campaign go?

A number of days ago, Rabbi Gottlieb of Bais Torah wrote two courageous letter's standing up for truth. In his second letter he stated "Most importantly, in my meetings with all of the candidates, not one with whom I spoke said anything negative about the opposition. They each expressed a desire and commitment to running positive, issue-based campaigns that would avoid ad-hominem attacks and negativity. They are to be commended for swimming against the tide of poisonous partisanship that has so soiled American politics". Anyone who has dwelt with Mr Specht before found it a little odd that he was being trusted. His words have never been true, he is a well known liar in the town for years. We now know that this is the opinion of very prominent families in Monsey, as stated in their letter which has been posted all over. Michael Specht is a man that says one thing and does another.

Even more troubling then his past is his current actions. He stated that he will avoid ad-hominem attacks and negativity. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. There is only one campaign that is going low and dirty. Specht, Ullman, and Wanounou's campaign, their own campaign not outside groups. They sent out fliers and ads with false accusations and blatant lies. They are calling Shani Bechhofer and her team all kinds of names. They have Online trolls doing the same. Unfortunately they have taken Rabbi Gotlieb for a ride as they have done to so many. They have been going around taking down signs of Shani and her team. They have forced local papers not to take ads for New Direction. Kudos to the yated and front page for putting in ads and standing up for truth through all the pressure.

Even more troubling, one of their candidates has been harassing local orthodox families who are supporting New direction. Volunteers are being threatened by the candidates personally, and their team's. He is threatening them that he will ruin their chances of marriage in the community, shame their families, and so on, if they don't stop. THIS IS A CRIME! ITS NOT HOW JEWS ACT!

Throughout this all Shani Bechhoffer and her team have stayed positive and kept their promise to avoid such things. They are such a wonderful group it hurts me as an orthodox Jew to watch them be smeared like this.
