Letter to the Editor: Changing The Culture And Fortunes Of Ramapo
The writer is a Rockland County legislator.

To the Editor:
Now is the time for Acting Ramapo Supervisor Yitzy Ullman and Councilman Patrick Withers to immediately show they are serious about changing the culture and fortunes of the Town of Ramapo by cutting all ties to the past.
While Mr. Ullman's press release was positive, those who aided and abetted the failed St. Lawrence regime - Mona Montel, Michael Klein and Nat Oberman - need to be terminated.

As a show of good faith, and more importantly to strengthen the board, I am also urging them to appoint Bill Weber as interim councilman. Mr. Weber's integrity, character and financial expertise is beyond reproach.
I am also demanding they resolve the contaminated soil lawsuit involving Sewer District No. 1. There is no reason this should drag through the courts at a cost to both the town and the county. The questions are not very difficult, starting with an accounting, or lack therehttps://patch.com/new-york/new...of, of the $400,000. I would be happy to assist in any negotiations.
