Lighting Strikes at Nanuet FD Ex-Chief's Home

Thunder grumbled on Wednedsay late afternoon and into the evening with storms knocking out power to .

A lightning strike was reported at 33 Frederick St, Nanuet. at 5:34 p.m. It was the home of Vinny Pacella, an ex-chief and commissioner of Nanuet FD. 

"Lightning struck in the back yard and blew out an outlet and some utilties but everything is ok," said Harold Straut, chairman of the Nanuet Fire Department's board of commissioners. "I just talked to him and everything is good."
